Most of my day yesterday was spent with this lovely lady. Some find this picture creepy. For me, it's what a canvas is to an artist (I know, deep right?). This was a blank canvas of hair.
The fashion industry is constantly changing. To keep up with what is happening, we attend classes. Studio Red is a salon that values education. So, some of us went into the city to learn some new razor techniques. We are an ARROJO ambassador salon. Nick Arrojo is a master with the razor. So to be able to learn from him is always profitable. A fellow ambassador salon, Intrigue, hosts the classes in Atlanta. They have some amazing stylists and are gracious enough to allow us all to learn from each other, as well as Nick and his education team from New York.
Yesterday was also special because it was Balinda's birthday! Happy birthday, B!!! We love you!
what a big weekend we had!! last friday, our peanut was 2 months old. if she could talk, she would tell you that getting shots is no way to celebrate. her and i both are thankful for kirk. he comforted her while getting the shots, so i could sit in the corner and tear up a bit. such is motherhood, i guess.
then, saturday was my first day back to
work. what i expected to be a 4-6 week maternity leave turned into a 10
week leave. the Lord likes to remind me that i am not in control, He
is. being back in the salon (studio red) was a good feeling. i am blessed with
fabulous coworkers and clients. so thankful for the support that they showed to our family through this season of our lives. very excited to be back into the swing of things.
